From All Stars to Superstars
Helping the development of girls and boys on their individual pathways in cricket
At GXCC we welcome young cricketers at all levels from the age of five (All Stars). We understand that all cricketers, whether young or old bring something different to the game, and we develop individual pathways to develop those differences and support their teams, our club, and our community.
All Stars
The England & Wales Cricket Board (ECB)
entry level cricket training for five to eight year olds
All Stars Cricket provides a fantastic
first experience for all children aged
5-8 years old where they’re guaranteed eight weeks of jam-packed fun, activity
and skills development.
The programme is designed to introduce children to the sport, teaching them new skills, helping them make new friends and have a great time doing so.
Every child that registers will receivea backpack full of goodies including:
Cricket bat, cricket ball and a personalised t-shirt with your child’s name on the front
All children returning to All Stars will receive a kit bag, a set of stumps,
a new ball and a personalised t-shirt.
New for 2024 we are combining All Stars with our Friday evening coaching programme.

GXCC Coaching
A unique approach to coaching young cricketers
Chris Marrow is our 1st XI opening batter and wicketkeeper. He has topped the TVCL Division 1 league batting and keeping averages and knows how to turn a good score into a big score. We challenged Chris and his Cricket School of Excellence to supply premium coaching at GXCC and develop our junior players. Chris encourages our ‘older’ junior players to take their ECB coaching badges and join our team of coaches. It’s a win-win model, developing our juniors as players and coaches, offering them employment as coaches, adding important life skills, and enriching their CVs.

GXCC Coaching Policy
Achieving the right balance between competition, ability,
and fun
At GXCC we want every child to leave their training sessionor match with a positive story to tell. We are all different and no two cricketers are the same. We aim to help our junior players excel as (sports) people, whilst having fun and making friends.
