Sam Bracey
Having joined the club as a skinny U11 in 2001, bowling wiley off spin, Bracey has now bulked out into a hard hitting left handed all rounder. Bracey was tipped to follow in the foot steps of JJ Newell as the 1st XI's front line spinner, however after an ICC investigation into the action of the effective off spinner he was unable to bowl in competitive matches. Following a couple of long winters starting in 2009, Bracey can now be found hiding on the boundary and tearing apart Div 3A bowlers on a regular basis.
Edward Montague
Joined GXCC in 1988, playing for the Colts under Peter Sedgewick and Punch (S Panchal).
Came up through the ranks to become a regular 1st XI cricketer, before taking a break from League cricket owing to family and work commitments.
Tempramental middle order batsmen - never made a League hundred (came close a couple of times before sacraficing wicket). Off spin never turned much, and came out at a medium pace!
